We are very happy to report that our students Alexandra Karden (PhD Student) and Julius Schmöllerl (graduate student) at the Medical University of Vienna have won the Antun Proksch Foundation prize for substance abuse research projects. They each recieve 10.000 Euros for their projects!
Alexandra’s PhD project is a mixed methods evaluation study of drug checking services as harm reduction in Vienna. Julius will focus on an analysis of prescribing of benzodiazepines in Vienna over the last decade and use the information to identify potentials for deprescribing interventions as part of the Less is More Project.
