Tamara is a resident physician in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University Clinic of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Medical University of Vienna and the Vienna General Hospital. She has previously finished training for general medicine and obtained a master’s degree in International Development at the University of Vienna. Tamara is particularly interested in global health and health inequalities in the global context, especially when it comes to access to health services.
Tamara joined the Grabovac Group as a doctoral student in 2023 and is developing a study looking into the effects of social media on mental health and psychological well-being of adolescents. She aims to develop a psychoeducational program to address social media use and encourage reflective practices in adolescents that foster behavioural changes that improve mental health outcomes. After her doctorate, she hopes to further therapeutic and preventive strategies within the realm of mental health for children and adolescents.
