ABOUT US

The Grabovac Group is a research group (The Community Health Lab) based at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Centre for Public health, Medical University of Vienna. We are a multidisciplinary team that is passionate about creating healthier and more just communities based on implementation science and following the principles of social medicine. Our work encompasses the research of environmental, social, and economic resources to develop and sustain emotional and physical health and well-being among people in ways that improve their aspirations and satisfy their needs in their unique environments. As such, we are focused on research and interventions in primary, secondary and tertiary levels of health care as well as on the mitigation of risk factors (prevention) across all level – primary, secondary, tertiary and quartile.

Our aim is to create approaches that will improve health in diverse groups and communities with a special focus on anti-discrimination, anti-stigmatization, social and health justice and equality.
