Sex and sexuality as essential aspects of the human experience are often disregarded in medicine, even as research clearly indicated the many benefits that a healthy and active sexual life has on health and well-being. Sex positivity in regards to medicine and healt sciences also suggests an open and honest dialogue about sexual activitiy and intimacy between patients and health care professionals.
Igor, together with Kathrin Kirchheiner, has already led a succesful elective subject on Queer-, Kink- and Sex Positive Medicine and Psychology. In the newly published article Kathrin and Igor expand on this concept and provide more insights.
