Health literacy remains a burning issue in Austria with data showing no major improvements on the overall health literacy in the last decade. With the rise of new technologies and communication channels it is becoming more and more important to consider digital health literacy and overall quality control of health realted information available online.

For this purpose Gesundheit Österreich GmbH (with representation from Martina Nitsch and Edith Flaschberger) are cooperating with our extended team from Medical University of Vienna (Lisa Lehner, Adis Šerifović and Magdalena Eitenberger) to look into the quality control of digital health information among people of various backgrounds and professional stakeholders.
