For the annual World Cancer Day on the 4th of February, the European Unions Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) organised an innagural project showcase event under the motto “Fostering synergies to beat cancer: The impact of EU-funded projects“. This event brought together representatives of projects funded by the European Commission that focus on cancer research covering three major parts: prevention and early detection, therapy and treatment outcomes and quality of life and survivorship.
Our team was represented by Igor Grabovac, who was also invited as a speaker in the first panel focusing on prevention and early detection. Next to a brief outline of our projects CANCERLESS and CO-CAPTAIN, Igor also underscored the importance of equity across research and implementation domains and the need for better data at national levels to facilitate better policies.
