This Wednesday, 30th of September, Tobi successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna, marking the completion of his PhD journey.
Supervised by Igor, his doctoral research focused on improving access to cancer preventive care for people experiencing homelessness through participatory and empowerment-focused research methods. Focusing on improving service access in Austria, Greece, Spain, and the UK, his work was conducted primarily within the framework of the EU-funded CANCERLESS project, contributing crucial insights into health equity and cancer prevention for socially marginalized and underserved communities.
The entire team congratulates Dr. Fragner on reaching this milestone and looks forward to his continued contributions to public health and health equity research as part of the Community Health Lab.
