Charlotte is studying psychology and doing a research internship at the Community Health Lab/Grabovac Group. Charlotte holds a bachelor degree in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Hamburg (Germany) where she focused on the mediation of democratic structures in society and it is during that time that she developed an interest in social environments and their influence on mental health of vulnerable groups. Charlotte continued her studies with a bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of Freiburg (Germany), where she also did an internship in a research group focused on sexual psychology in people with disabilities in Barcelona (Spain). It was during her stay in Barcelona that she gained more interest in social ostracism and decided to continue her studies with a Master Studies programme in Intercultural Psychology at the University of Osnabrück (Germany). In 2021, Charlotte joined the Grabovac Group with an Erasmus Research Internship at the Centre for Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna where she focuses on LGBTIQ+ discrimination in the workplace. She is further developing a new project focusing on structural discrimination against transgender and non-binary individuals in the mental health care system.
